This year has been awesome =)

The biggest thing for me was NSConference09 which got me in contact with many bright Cocoa developers from all across Europe. It was so much fun talking with different people who was working on very different projects. I can’t wait to come back in January 2010…

Also 2009 was the year I started doing iPhone development for Marimatech in Aarhus. It has been a very educational experience for me because I work with some very talented people. I’m definitely a better programmer because of that job and since none of them had any experience with Cocoa or Cocoa-Touch it has also given me the opportunity of teaching others what I know..

2009 was also the year where I kicked off CocoaHeads in Aarhus and it’s been fun so far. Admittedly I was hoping for a higher rate of attendees but it really doesn’t matter. We’re having fun and hopefully I’m doing something that inspires others. And who knows – perhaps interest will increase

This year was also the year where I tried to release software for the first time. Granted it didn’t work out exactly as planned but it gave me experience. It taught me the value of well designed software and it was a lesson I’ve taken with me into every project since then. I had to make a decision because the codebase had grown to a great size and since I actually had no other way of testing the app besides manual tests, changing in the code became hard which was why I decided to start from scratch. I’ve taken a lot of the experience I gained while programming on the first version, and it has made the development process of the upcoming version much faster and much much more stable. This will be something I will be very proud of and I really can’t wait to show it off to all of you.

2010 is upon us soon and one thing is for sure… it will be awesome =)
